Chocolatier Hilde Devolder
One of the smallest chocolatiers in Ghent, but definitely one of the best! Hilde Devolder is known for her tiny pralines with a very delicious & intense taste. An excellent choice if you want to have a lot of tasters ;-) We often visit this chocolatier during our Chocolate Tours!
Broesse
They are shooting up like mushrooms, the concept stores that not only do retail, but also offer a drink to their customers ... But with only a few it is as successful as with Broesse. This tropical plant shop with café and jungle bar was already a hit from the opening. Top products and top owners, that's all there is to be!
Confiserie Temmerman
The oldest candy shop in Ghent, is like Switzerland: charming and neutral. Because in all the intensity of the 'war of the noses', they managed to sell their own version of this local delicacy, called 'noses'. Tasty and very sweet! One of the many reasons why we often pass by on our tours...
Tierenteyn Verlent
We are not going around the bush: over here they sell the best mustard in the world! From generation to generation, locals visit Tierenteyn-Verlent to buy their stock. The business settled in the Groentemarkt in 1867 and the store has changed little since then. A visit to the store therefore feels a bit like traveling back in time...

A real local family business where everything is still made according to traditional methods. Located on the Korenlei (at the old harbor).
